Bumbo Schmumbo... Who's a big girl now?

Natalie did something extraordinary today. She sat up on her own! Well, kinda... she needs to prop herself up on her hands. But it's a significant milestone and she loves it!

Cheerful Morning Baby

Natalie goes to school

Yesterday, Natalie went to her first class at a real school called KinderU in Kowloon, Hong Kong. She had a lot of fun! It was a mandarin session where they sang songs and learned about important stuff like today's date, musical notes, and important body parts like our hands and our feet.

Babies Halloween Party

Today Natalie and her friends had their first Halloween Party!

Mommies AND Daddies came with their costumed babies and it was like movie stars on the red carpet because everyone (and we mean EVERYONE) brought their cameras. It was great fun! At the mommies n' babies meeting today, Natalie spent some time playing with her friend Max. They are sooo cute together. See them stare at each other and hold hands. Turn up the volume to hear Natalie trying to talk to him in Video 45.

Dumbo in her Bumbo

Now that Natalie's head, neck, and back are stronger, she really seems to enjoy her bumbositter where she has discovered... her feet! We tried giving her other toys, but she's just not that interested.

Although Natalie looks like a "big girl now" in her bumbositter, she really doesn't know how to sit up on her own just yet. You can see how small she really is compared to Tracy in the last photo below.

Miss. Not Happy

Natalie has been very grumpy lately... crying and fussing and all-round not-a-happy-camper. We think she may be teething. The only time she was calm today was during her morning bath (she loves bath time!) Hopefully the doctor today can prescribe some pain meds or help us find out what's wrong so we can help her.





Also, Natalie has been putting everything she can into her mouth. See Video 44 of her trying to eat the camera.

Yesterday, Natalie spent the day on a yacht with her mom, dad, and friends. She loves going out, seeing new things, and meeting new people... she hardly slept at all!

In anticipation of Halloween, Natalie was too excited and couldn't wait to try on her costume (ok, actually, that was us...).

Baby's First Word...?

Natalie has learned to pronounce her first consonant! She has been saying it over and over again for the past 2 days. It sounds like her first word. Could her first word really be... "Poo poo"?

Toys Toys Everywhere

Natalie is getting more and more aware of her environment and learning how she can interact with it. Here she is in Video 42 playing on her new playmat.

Below are pics of Natalie just hanging out this morning. See how big her head looks compared with her shoulders? No wonder her head is still a little bit wobbly.

Peacefully Asleep

You know how when you're a new parent-to-be and you read about how other new parents sometimes watch their babies sleep and you wonder why?

Well, now we know why :)

Natalie's new toy

Besides having fun playing with her hands, feets, and voice (she talks to herself all the time now), Natalie also received a new toy from Uncle Kelvin. The toy is great and she loves it, but it's not what you might expect... Check out Natalie playing with her new "toy" in Video 40 (the actual toy she received is next to Daddy's leg) and also in Video 41.

Fun at dim sum

We're trying to take Natalie out more and expose her to as many different places and people as possible. So far, she's a star when it comes to being out and meeting new people. Hope we can keep it up!

Natalie's New Crib

Here is Natalie sleeping peacefully in her new crib in her very own baby room. She is just starting to learn to sleep by herself... we're keeping our fingers crossed!

Also, see video 38 and video 39 of Natalie first playing with her mommy and then of her playing with a toy bear and talking to herself. She's really coordinated!

Natalie is a Beast

Natalie visited the doctor today and had her 4 month shots. Poor baby, she cried a lot!

But the good news is that she is growing normally... and then some! She now weighs in at 15.6 lbs. That is, she is heavier than 90% other babies her age! She is also longer and her head bigger than 90% other babies her age.

Hehe... go beast!

Here is Video 37 of Natalie laughing out loud with her daddy and majorly drooling all over him. You'll have to turn up the volume to hear her little giggles in the beginning and then turn it down when she starts screeeching!

4 months

Natalie is exactly 4 months old today. Happy 4-month birthday, baby!
