Talking with Gramma

Check out how interactive Natalie has become in Video 53 while listening to her PorPor (Gramma Tong) on the phone this morning. She is so curious and happy to discover new things.

Natalie and her friend Ethan

Natalie has a little friend named Ethan. He's a cutie with super chubby cheeks and 2 little teeth. Whenever babies get together, they like to look and smile at each other, touch each other's hands and faces, and, if they can reach, eat each other!

Here are some pics of Natalie and Ethan hanging out together (and one of Natalie trying to eat Ethan!).

Keeping mum company

Some people wonder what Natalie does all day. Natalie still sleeps alot. She sleeps from 8pm - 7am. Then naps for about one hour at 10am and 1pm, and a slightly longer nap around 4pm. Inbetween, she eats (milk and solids), poos, and plays :) Here are some photos of Natalie keeping her mum company during the day.

Natalie with more uncles and aunties

Natalie met Uncle Dom for the first time this week. She also saw Dave yee-jurn and Carol yee-yee who came for a quick visit from Japan. The last photo is Natalie in some new clothes with Auntie Vivo. We'll post more pics of Natalie in her new clothes later :)

What a mess!

Natalie has decided that she prefers feeding herself. She wants to hold the spoon herself. If her mommy or daddy hold the spoon, she needs to hold it, too. And she wants to put the spoon in her mouth by herself... even if it's upside down.

Natalie says: "I love to feed myself."

Wait, this isn't how it's supposed to be...

Let me hold it myself!

There we go...

Yay!

Gosh, I'm a mess. Why are mommy and daddy laughing so hard?

Maybe because this is so much fun.

Yum yum carrots and brown rice.

All done!

Natalie and Us

Natalie is such a sweet girl. Even though we've been sleep training her, she doesn't hold it against us and loves spending time with us. She's even started to say "Mama!" We don't think she knows what it means yet, but we love it anyways. See her saying her first word in Video 52. (It also looks like she disapproves of the Hong Kong democratic system, or at least the number of flyers they hand out.)

Also, see photos of Natalie enjoying quality time with her Daddy.

Her Daddy's Birthday

Natalie got all dressed up for her Daddy Clark's birthday party.

And she is fascinated by the candles on her Daddy's meat cake.

Taiwan

This weekend, Natalie went to Taiwan (she is quite the little world traveller!). Even though her daddy Clark was very tired (see below photo) we had a great time meeting and hanging with family. Natalie met with two of her great-grandmothers Ching-Bu and Nai-Nai. Wow, 4 generation together!

Below are pictures from our trip. Enjoy!

7 Dwarves

Natalie can be Happy, Grumpy, Dopey, Bashful and Sleepy. She is sometimes Sneezy. And once, she was Doc (see http://natwang.blogspot.com/2007/09/nerdy-nerd.html)

Little Piggy Loves to Eat

Natalie is really enjoying solid food. She slurps it down! (But also gets some on her nose, chin, hands, table, lap, mom, etc...) Here are some pics of her enjoying her morning breakfast of 3 teaspoons of rice cereal.

Why Natalie looks like a boy...

... because she has no hair! If only more would grow and not keep getting rubbed out while she is wriggling and squirming around in her crib (she's really good at that now!). Here is Natalie with some hair borrowed courtesty of Auntie Serena.

Kung Fu Baby

Like all asian babies, Natalie was born with a badminton racquet and ping-pong paddle in her hands and with an innate knowledge of kung-fu! We found her sleeping like this...

And couldn't resist this...
